Why should I choose SenSpa?
This one is easy. Unlike some larger organisations, we have the time to genuinely care about your experience of our excellent facilities. Be it helping you achieve your health or fitness goals to providing the right environment for you to unwind in, we are dedicated to helping you get the most out of being a member. You'll find all our staff friendly and accomodating, knowledgeable and ready to assist you.
I’m new to this, will I be out of place?
Certainly not! Most of our new members are new to exercise so you won’t be alone. Remember, we are here for you and not the other way round and will do everything we can to make you feel at home.
I'm going to need help, what advice and encouragement will I get?
When you first join, we'll make sure you know where and when everything is and exactly what we have to offer. Also, you'll get an individual induction with one of the fitness team who will show you exactly how everything works and then get you booked in for a programme to suit you and your goals. After that, its up to you and our fitness staff are always on hand to help; as a member you are entitled to one personal training session a week. Just book it in and leave the rest to us!
Is it tough?
Only if you want it to be. Our experience is that most people are here to look after their health so if that’s the case, then it’s definitely ‘train don’t strain’ and you’ll be in safe hands; however, if you want to break records, then we can equally push you to help you achieve it.
What shall I wear?
Unless it’s one of our movement based classes such as yoga, then the only thing we insist upon is that top halfs and feet are covered. For most, this means either short or long sleeved T shirts, shorts or tracksuits and a closed soft soled shoe. If you need any advice on what’s best for you, then the staff can advise.
How do I choose a class?
Simple. Choose one that you are going to enjoy and at a time that suits you. Look in the studio for a couple of minutes the next time a class is on and you’ll can get a pretty good idea of what is involved or talk to one of the staff who will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. A full class timetable with a description of each class will also be in your membership pack.
How do I join?
It couldn't be easier. Just call in or phone up and ask to speak to one of the fitness team to arrange a show round. They’ll give you a tour of the facilities, discuss your goals and hopefully get you signed up; just don’t expect any hard sell. We want you to join for the right reasons, and not because a salesmen has convinced you with fancy patter. If you do decide to join, just remember to bring along your bank details if you want to pay monthly and your diary so we can get you started at the earliest date.
How much does it cost to join and how can I pay?
That all depends on which of the membership categories is best for you and how you’d like to pay. There is an initial joining fee followed by a one of lump sum or monthly direct debit.
Will I be locked into to a long-term contract when I join Senspa?
A minimum 12-month membership period applies to all membership options.
Are there extras to pay for once I’ve joined Senspa?
Once you have joined, everything from towels, pool shoes, inductions, programming and classes are included in your membership. All we ask is that you come down and make the most of them.
Personal training sessions are an optional extra costing £35 per session and can be booked at Spa Reception if you require one.
Can I freeze my membership because I cannot attend the club at the moment?
How often do you review your fees at Senspa?
We generally do this every November, but don’t worry, we'll let you know of any changes in advance in writing.
Can children use the facilities?
A temple of tranquility, SenSpa is strictly adults only and not even children staying in the hotel may use the facility.
