5 Tips To Get Summer Abs

Are you dreaming of summer abs? Don’t panic, there’s still time to get bikini ready for summer and we have 5 helpful tips to help you get there.
The most important tip of all is that abs are made from the kitchen! Your diet is responsible for 90% of your results. Eating a well-balanced diet is part of the journey. Eating healthy fats such as raw nuts, peanut butter and avocado with protein such as sweet potatoes and couscous will help you get the results you want and of course, plenty of vegetables and fruit throughout the day too.
2. Add in exercise
Between 3-5 times a week mixing cardio with resistance and weight training. Don’t ignore weight training, this is as important as cardio and you won’t get proper results without a combination of the two.
3. Little & often
Eat small amounts every 2 ½ to 3 hours to keep hunger at bay. This will make you less likely to binge on the naughty foods.
4. Adopt a good cardio method
In the SenSpa Gym we recommend Hiit training (High Intensity Interval Training) as a super-efficient way of burning body fat. Hop on the bike or treadmill and go as fast as you can for 30 to 60 seconds before resting for the same amount of time. Repeat this exercise 10 times before jumping off and working on some crunches for 60 seconds before a rest. Other great ways to work the abs include planks, reverse crunches and leg drops.
5. Integrate compound exercises
Integrate compound exercises into your daily routine such as squats, dumbbell lunges and deadlifts. These types of exercises use multiple joints and muscles to promote fat loss.
