3 Easy starter Steps
A morning and evening skincare regime is recommended for the best results. Most skincare ranges will have a selection of different cleansers, toners and moisturisers which have been created for a range of different skin types and concerns.
Your first and most important product is your cleanser.Cleansing removes the day’s build-up of oil, dirt and grime accumulated throughout the day. If this build up is left, it can leave the skin feeling uneven, greasy and looking lifeless. This can also lead to blocked pores and acne.
Cleansing is a perfect wakeup call in the morning and can be incorporated in to your wind-down routine at night.
Toning has several benefits in regards to your skincare regime. After a thorough cleanse we then recommend toning the skin to hydrate and close the pores. This is also recommended after exfoliation (exfoliation will be included in part 2). If sprayed on to a cotton wool pad and wiped over the face, any remnants of dirt and grease will be removed.
Conventional toners can contain alcohol which strips the skin of goodness as well as making it feel dry and tight. I recommend a good quality toner containing organic ingredients like those found within the Eminence range.
Moisturising is essential as it prevents the skin feeling tight and dry throughout the day. This also prevents a build-up of dry skin. However if you have oily, sensitive or ageing skin, a targeted moisturiser can combat these for you. Extra Skin care Tips
- Drink up to 8 glasses of water a day
- Try to avoid touching your skin
- Change your pillow cases on a regular basis
- Don't where makeup whilst exercising and thoroughly cleanse and moisturise after your work out
- Use products that are suitable for your skin type as incorrect products can cause dryness and sensitivity.
- If you miss your morning routine, don’t panic, continue with your nightly regime
- Consider natural based products as chemical based products can strip the skin of its natural oil and barriers, leaving the skin dry and damaged.
