Tune in to World Wellness Weekend at SenSpa
27th Aug 2018
World Wellness Weekend on September 22 and 23 sees experts across the globe joining forces to encourage healthier, happier lifestyles by offering a series of healthy, fun events – for free.
SenSpa is celebrating World Wellness Weekend with a free ‘Gong Bath’ run by life coach, counsellor and sound therapist, Scania.
A Gong Bath doesn’t involve water, but lying still listening to the soothing sound of the gong is every bit as relaxing, calming, transforming and healing as a traditional bath.
Used in yoga, sound meditation and vibrational therapy, the gong is one of the most powerful and oldest transformational and therapeutic instruments, and has been used for ritual, ceremony, prayer and meditation since the Bronze Age.
SenSpa is offering guests to chance to experience the relaxing properties of the gong for themselves as part of a free Gong Bath on September 23.
Guests will be invited to bring something comfortable to lie on, and plenty of water to drink. Scania will then play the gongs for around 45-50 minutes, ending with a succession of softer sounds which drift into silence. The gong is then struck to signify the end of the session.
The Gong Bath is free as part of World Wellness Weekend.
SenSpa is part of the historic country house hotel Careys Manor in Brockenhurst, the perfect retreat for a spa break in this stunning part of the British Isles.
