AQUA - A water based workout for all abilities.
ZEN BREATHING - Breathing Spaces is a break from what you are doing a “breathing space” where conscious breathing techniques used in meditation help induce calm and with a little practise and support, help you to begin to manage your emotions.
CYCLE RIDE - Increasing the distance over the weeks and months, this is a chance to get out and explore the quieter roads around the forest with a view to doing a few long distance challenges.
MEDITATION - A great way to calm down and de stress, with deep breathing techniques and gentle stretches.
DANCE AEROBICS - A cardiovascular workout using various dance styles, high and low impact moves and varying levels of intensity and choreography.
BODY PUMP - A class combining high repetition weight training with aerobic conditioning, BodyPump is excellent for increasing lean body mass, improving muscle tone and definition and helping to lose weight.
ZUMBA TONING - Body sculpting exercises and high energy cardio work to Latin infused Zumba moves with light weight, maraca-like toning sticks all combine in this class to create a calorie burning, strength training dance fitness party that will sculpt your body naturally in a fun way.
BODY BALANCE (*) - Combining principles such as controlled breathing, concentration, flexibility and strength from the practices of Yoga, Pilates and Feldenkrais, Body Balance is an holistic workout that brings the body, mind and soul into a state of balance and harmony. This class will not run on the first Thursday of the month.
YOGA - Covering breathing, posture, stretching and relaxing to help bring awareness and balance to the mind, body and soul.
CIRCUITS - Moving from station to station, a variety of exercises are used to strengthen the cardio vascular system and improve muscular strength and endurance.
TAI CHI - Tai Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with a series of postures that flow smoothly from one to the next, helping to improve balance and flexibility, as well as promoting better sleep and reducing anxiety.
PILATES (Intermediate) - Using flowing movements, controlled breathing and concentration, Pilates helps you develop strength, flexibility, posture and endurance without building bulk or stressing your joints. The perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, athletic training or rehabilitation; Pilates exercises will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease. This class is only for those who have done Pilates before.
PILATES ORIENTATION** - On the first Thursday of the month, this class will run if there is space available in the beginners class and if requested (SPEAK TO A MEMBER OF THE FITNESS STAFF) to get you up to speed to join in the beginners class.
PILATES (Beginners) - As for the intermediate class but aimed at beginners.
FITBALL CONDITIONING - Using the fit balls, a series of exercise are used to mobilise the joints and tone the muscles; especially good for abdominals.
ZUMBA - A Latin inspired dance fitness class that is exhilarating, effective and easy to follow. Zumba incorporates several dance styles, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba and flamenco.
- SKI FIT - A Circuit based class including Cardiovascular and weight training exercises that will get you fit for the Ski Season.
