Holistic Beauty Therapist Sarah Brown explains the importance of a double cleanse.
A double cleanse simply means using two different cleansers. One with oil followed by another with water. A double cleanse will ensure your skin is as clean as possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The first cleanser will break down any makeup, remove dirt and excess oils from the day and clean your skin. While the second cleanser will address your particular skin type or concern and should have ingredients to hydrate, smooth, or exfoliate and treat acne.
Sarah's cleanser recommendations:
Pre-Cleanse - Eminence Stone Crop Cleansing Oil
I highly recommend Eminence Stone Crop Cleansing Oil as a pre-cleanse (first cleanse). Oil cleansing is suitable for all skin types and conditions.
Dry to Oily Skin - ESPA Nourishing Cleansing Balm
Great for dry skin types due to its nourishing properties, but it is also really effective for oily skin types as oil attracts oil, therefore removing any excess from the skin.
Dry - Sensitive - ESPA Hydrating Cleansing Milk
A mild and creamy cleanser that gently removes make-up and daily impurities, while also comforting and hydrating the skin.
Dry - Sensitive - Éminence Firm Skin Acai Cleanser
A creamy cleanser with Seabuckthorn oil and marshmallow plant extract containing natural hyaluronic acid works hard to reduce the signs of ageing and helps to restore elasticity through gentle hydration for a more youthful appearance.
